Had a wonderful experience there. Our hostess, Vee, was great! Didn't know what the flavors of the draft beer were, so she gave us a sample of a couple which we chose one one of them.. good choice. Love the atmosphere, GREAT pizza, we ate the whole thing which we don't normally. My husband said it looks like we found us a new beer and pizza place.

Service was awful on Thursday evening, 8/20/2026. Took awhile for our waitress to show up to greet us and take our drink orders… by the time she showed up we’ve already looked over the menu and ready to order our food. She brought our drinks out and set one of the water down very hard that the water spilled some onto the table. She didn’t wipe it off and didn’t bring any napkins. Few minutes later the water dripped down to my sister’s legs…. Thank goodness it was only water. It took the waitress awhile to get near our table again where we could flag her down to get napkins or a rag to wipe down the water spill. She brought a rag but didn’t wipe off the spill… she just put the rag onto the table and had us wipe it down. Then we got our pizzas… tasted good but some burnt places. We were never given any napkins so again we had to wait for her to get near our table to flag her down. She was running around, checked on other booths near us and decided to stay at a booth next to us and chat about move-in day at nearby colleges and their majors. Finally we had to flag her down again to ask for napkins as our hands were all black (from parts of the burnt pizza) and getting cheese al

So, I’m pretty disappointed by this because we looked online (never having been here before) and everything looked and sounded AH-MAZING. Well when we picked up our to go order, nothing looked like how the photos online made it appear and the pizza was as thin as my credit card 🙁 My mom was here for a visit and she placed the order because she thought the options sounded incredible. The way the items online and on the menu made them look they appeared to rival Mushroom so we were so stoked and what came out looked small, so thin it actually blew in the wind and the flavor/toppings were lacking. So sad because we were pretty excited about this joint too.

Food was decent (minus the 3 pounds of arugula on top of my pizza) Staff was kind, but unfortunately had to wait for about 20 min to order. A friend ordered a beer can which took 15 min to be brought out. Didn’t get a single refill on water. Disappointed first visit :-/

Rivermont Pizza has this really cool vibe and great food! It’s awesome that Lynchburg has a cool pizza place like here. Great selection of drinks and food options. It’s an awesome place to hangout and enjoy some great food and drinks!
